(NOV. 3RD) MWU VIDEOS 5TH ANNIVERSARY
Can you believe it's been 5 years since MWU Videos started putting out squeezin' and pleasin' videos for people like you? It seems like yesterday that I, DJ, founder of the company decided to start a video company about mixed wrestling to help pay for wrestling sessions with the ladies. Things went very slowly for the first year and a half as I'd only put out 3 videos in that period of time. Then I discovered how to sell videos online and that helped pick up business. The big break came in the year 2000 when I met Blake of Carolina Catfights. That year he started doing live catfight shows at his place in North Carolina, which was about an hour and a half from where I lived. Eventually we came to an agreement that he'd let me shoot videos at his place and I'd host his live events as well as let him use my videos to add to his new video download service. The first video shot at his place was in March of 2001, which turned out to be MWU V4 with Lady Victoria. Since then of the next 25 videos released by my company 24 have been shot at "The Back Alley Gym" as his place is also known as. That year was as mentioned the first year my videos could be downloaded, which were done in a theatre containing 3 videos. Later that year I was able to recruit the first lady to work in both Carolina Catfights live show and do a video for me in Christine Fetzer. (Lee the Dark Angel had been in CC's live show and did a video for me earlier but I didn't recruit her). Soon I was able to get other ladies to come from out of town to be in the CC show and do a Video for me. Ladies like Shelly the Burbank Bomber, Sharon Marvel Johnston, Gia, Britta the Golden Goddess, Holly from Holly's Angels and Hurricane Havana. But I also found that people like to buy videos from the local ladies that wrestled at Carolina Catfights like Korey, Shannon, Jamie and my personal favorite Tyler. 2002 brought Rolling Stone magazine down to cover Blake's catfight shows and thus increase his visibility and also get more big name women to come to NC and work for us. And all of a sudden I was making some money at doing this! My thinking was, "Rather than do wrestling sessions, let me pay women to be in a video and get some money out of it!" 2003 has turned out be, as every year has, bigger than the previous year. In Jan. I shot 4 videos the weekend of the Carolina Catfights show, something I'd never come close to doing before. Since then every CC show since has produced no LESS than 4 videos, so many that I've got 10 videos that I haven't even released yet! All thanks to the years of word-of-mouth about our companies and the ladies realizing that our companies can help promote them. I even got to do a video with Shannon Logan, 2002's most popular mixed wrestling according to my site. As it turns out it may the last wrestling video she does as she's supposedly training for the olympics so I got real lucky to do one with her. One that has sold more copies in one year than almost all of the videos I've done. This year has seen a members site for MWU Videos finally and the ability for customers to download individual videos for the first time. And in January something will happen that's never been done before. Check back in Dec. for the big announcement. Really none of this would have been possible without Blake of Carolina Catfights, both having his place near where I live and his ability to bring in women to do videos for me. I owe him almost everything to the success of my company. No I'm not about to cry, I just want to thank him, that's all. I hope the next 5 years will be as great a success as the first 5 years. And I want to thank each and every one of you that's bought or downloaded a video from my company. I may never be as big as Joan Wise or some other companies but I'll bet nobody enjoys being in this business more that I do. Thanks.
